What’s a First 48 session?

I’m thrilled to announce I am offering ‘First 48′ sessions. First 48 refers to photographs within the first 48 hours of your newborn’s life.  I would come to the hospital/home and photograph the baby to document every tiny newborn detail.  This can be purchased alone or at a discount with the booking of a newborn session.  If you are interested, feel free to contact me for more information. In addition, I’m also considering offering birth photography. If you have a scheduled induction, please let me know as I will provide discounted rates while I portfolio build.

I was honored to have photographed this big sister when she was a newborn and two years later it is her little sister’s turn.  It was exciting to capture their first moments together.  Stay tuned for the newborn session photos.

Baby E | 3 months old

This session some of the photos were lifestyle portraits.  I have always loved the natural look of lifestyle type portraits and luckily this family is game for whatever I want to try (Love them!).  My house is currently on the market (why it’s been so quiet around here) and as a result it has been decluttered, which makes for a perfect backdrop for these types of portraits.  If you are interested in some portraits using your house as the backdrop, contact me and we can set something up.  Believe me when I say you do not need the most fabulous house, it just takes a little decluttering in the area of the photo shoot.  I feel like these turn out to be a bit more intimate and personal, especially when it comes to family portraits.

Baby M | 3 Months Old

This little one has developed a great personality and the cutest chubby cheeks.  I truly enjoyed my time spent with her while I took these photographs.  Her Mom, who has awesome red hair (not that I’m biased at all ) was a sport and agreed to step in front of the camera also.  I know many of us are not jumping for joy at the thought of being in front of the camera, but I believe that time passes too quickly and a photograph of you holding your little baby will be something to cherish as your little one grows.   Check out the Baby’s First Year packages HERE.  This is a great way to save on session fees and lock in product pricing for the whole year.  It also would make a great shower gift!

MINI SESSIONS!!!!!

 

So  summer is now behind us and fall is definitely here.   Christmas will be right around the corner and you know it’s time to update the photos on your walls!  I’m offering two different mini sessions, details below.  You can contact me by email,  beth@gracekellyphotography.com or  phone, 651-755-2125.  This will be a first come first serve basis with a limited number of sessions available.

Option #1 – $100    October 13th (morning and evening sessions available)

• 40 minute session
• 15 proofs to view on an online gallery
• 5 digital files (personal printing rights)
• Stillwater location

Option #2 – $125  anytime in the month of November 

• 40 minute session
• 15 proofs to view on an online gallery
• 5 digital files (personal printing rights)
• location of your choice

There will only be 3 sessions scheduled for option #2, so act fast if this one works better for you.

Add ons:

• $25 Custom designed Christmas card (digital file) – you pick the photos, colors, style and I will design it for you!
• $45 for all digital files from your session (with personal printing rights)
• $10 per additional people over 4

Please note that no CD will be given, you will receive the files as a direct download to your computer.

Get ready for a photo bomb!  Here is the reason it has been a little quiet on the blog this summer.  I have been enjoying every minute of it.  I do have to thank my sister’s for being spotters for me.  In the coming blog posts, I’ll show how I got a couple of these shots safely.  I never put a baby in danger just to get the shot.  There is the magic of Photoshop that helps me get the shot while making sure there are hands on the baby at all times.

This little guy was by far the hardest baby that I have had to shoot.  When I shoot newborns, I usually keep Mom away from the baby as Mom’s smell can wake the baby up and they want to eat.  Well, that made things difficult for me to shoot him, little stinker kept waking up on me!  It was worth it though.

If you are wondering why there are no photos with my oldest, this would be why! My 21 month old would have none of it. Guess I’ll need to be patient.
